2024 Bell Witch Fall Festival
Leading up to the festival, Community Spirit, Inc posts calls for several paid positions to fill our productions. This page is where you will find our current searches. Check back often as more will be posted as the time comes!
Community Spirit, Inc. is accepting submissions for the following paid positions:
- Production Manager
- Directors
Dates for the 2024 Bell Witch Fall Festival have not been announced. Casting will be some time in May or June. Rehearsals typically begin in August with the festival productions starting late September and running through the end of October.
Production Manager:
We are looking for smart, organized, throughout individuals to oversee all aspects of the three shows that make up the Bell Witch Fall Festival productions. This person will work closely with the directors, production crew, and CSI committee to execute and manage each show to the best of their ability.
Their responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor and environment.
- Coordinating Audition Dates and Locations with Directors.
- Maintaining responsible usage and allocation of budget set by CSI board of Directors.
- Documenting and tracking all receipts and expenditures.
- Develop and distribute a rehearsal schedule with directors.
- Attend at least 50% of scheduled off-site rehearsal attend every night of tech week and pay days.
- Distributing and collecting cast contracts and tax forms prior to the start of rehearsals.
- Act as the point of contact for Directors.
- Keeping the board liaison informed of any issues within the cast and crew.
- Distribute paychecks to cast and production crew.
- Develop and schedule a load-in and loud-out plan.
- Utilize resources provided for all communication and organization.
- Provide monthly production updates to CSI organization either in person or virtually (4th Monday of the Month).

Directors:
We are looking for creative and talented individuals to direct either SMOKE: A Ballad of the Night Riders, or SPIRIT: The Authentic Story of the Bell Witch of Tennessee. This person will be the creative visionaries for the shows. While staying true to the historical aspects of the shows, the director will be tasked with bringing these stories and lore to life on stage.
Their responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor and environment.
- Be prepared to lead show discussion at all Production Meetings.
- Relay all scheduling conflicts to Producer in a timely manner.
- Attend Smoke Sponsor night.
- Utilize resources provided for all communication and organization.
